Blacksmith Day / Hammer In

October 7 | 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Free

Richfield Historical Society (RHS) invites all to welcome fall at our annual Blacksmith Day / Hammer-In.  This is becoming a very popular event for RHS. We’ve recreated a turn-of-the-century blacksmith shop, equipped it with genuine antique hardware and tools, and invited local craftspeople to help us showcase the blacksmith’s arts. Many of the handcrafted items will be for sale. Blacksmiths will also be stationed around the Sugar Shack and Pioneer Village areas, where demonstrations and free tours will be offered.

Food and beverages and plenty of children’s activities will be available, making it a fantastic family event!

Funds raised at Blacksmith Day and other RHS events support the Society’s educational programs and the Richfield Historical Park maintenance. Stay connected to RHS on Facebook and Pinterest.

The mission of the Richfield Historical Society, a 501c3 non-profit corporation, is to discover, collect, preserve, and promote the history of the Village of Richfield.
