Lasers. Drones. Historic preservation.
For the next Architectural Heritage Series, The Tower Heritage Center is collaborating with BIM Technology Management (BIMTM) to deliver an innovative program that exhibits the use of cutting-edge technology in preserving historic buildings.
Experience live demos of iGuide reality capture, 3D scanning, photogrammetry, drone scanning, and 2D & 3D models – with examples from buildings on The Tower Heritage Center’s campus. Understand the impact of using new technology to save old buildings and see how efficiency has progressed not only preservation efforts but building projects overall.
Hosted in the courtroom of the 1889 Courthouse, the program will feature experienced speakers with architecture, preservation, construction, and digital modeling backgrounds:
The event is FREE to attend, with no prior registration necessary. Coffee and pastries will be served, and further information about BIMTM will be provided. The event is directed toward emerging professionals, community members, and building enthusiasts.
