Architectural Heritage Series: Assessing Conditions of Historic Buildings

June 4 | 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm

$10 – $20

Historic buildings can present conditions that seem obvious, like paint peeling, or less noticeable, like mortar wearing down. Either way, historic buildings present unique conditions that all owners must handle. Join Steve Stuckey, former architectural conservator of George Washington’s Mount Vernon home and current executive director of the Tower Heritage Center, as he dives into the process for assessing the conditions of historic buildings.

This lively session will journey through the process of looking at a historic building, what can be learned from undertaking this process, and the valuable next steps post-assessment. There will be amazing images and drawings from local and not-so-local case studies. And of course, lots of energy! So don’t miss out!
